Our PPF FAQ
Which PRO PPF films are available and what finishes do they offer?
We offer four distinct films: Ultra Gloss for a showroom‑shine clear finish, Gloss Black for a deep glossy black look, Carbon Black for a carbon‑patterned satin‑gloss effect, and Ultra Satin for a sleek satin appearance. Each is engineered with a multilayer TPU structure featuring a self‑healing top coat and hydrophobic properties .
What is the total thickness and layer composition of each film?
All four films measure 7.5 mil (185 µm) ± 5 % in total thickness, comprising a 6 mil TPU base, a 0.5 mil self‑healing top coat, a 1 mil pressure‑sensitive adhesive, and a 3 mil release liner which we remove with pre-cut kits.
How do their mechanical properties compare?
Ultra Gloss and Ultra Satin both exceed 18 MPa tensile strength and 300 % elongation, while Gloss Black and Carbon Black exceed 15 MPa tensile strength and 280 % elongation. Initial and post‑immersion peel adhesion tests for all films surpass 400 N/m, with accelerated weathering peel adhesion exceeding 600 N/m .
What gloss levels can I expect?
Ultra Gloss delivers more than 94 % gloss at 60°, Gloss Black achieves over 90 % gloss, while Ultra Satin falls in the 25 – 30 % gloss range for a true matte effect. Carbon Black maintains high‑gloss properties above 90 % despite its patterned finish .
What warranty covers these films?
Each PRO PPF film carries a 10‑year warranty from the date of purchase, protecting against material and manufacturing defects such as yellowing, cracking, blistering, and delamination. Claims require proof of purchase and warranty documentation .
How should I store and install the film?
Store rolls horizontally in their original packaging at 20 ± 2 °C and 40 – 60 % relative humidity, away from direct sunlight and heavy loads. Films must be installed by trained professionals within one year of manufacture to ensure optimal adhesion and performance .
Can I order free sample kits and access full spec sheets?
Yes - simply request a free sample kit to test any of our four films on your own panels, and download detailed technical data sheets for each film directly from our website. Samples ship nationwide, and spec sheets cover tensile strength, elongation, peel adhesion, gloss values, water contact angle, and accelerated weathering results.
